About me

Alice mascia

 

I am a psychologist with more than 10 years of experience. I help people who need to solve their problems of anxiety, self-esteem, panic attacks, fears, conflict analysis, assertiveness and emotional intelligence. I accompany people to gain quality of life, from a holistic view of psychology, considering body and mind as a balanced and well coordinated unit between the emotional and rational worlds.

My orientation is integrative, with cognitive-behavioral, constructivist and humanist approaches. EMDR therapist with advanced training in attachment, complex trauma and dissociation. I also use techniques from Cognitive, Gestalt and Brief Therapy. I am in constant training, as I consider it essential to practice in this profession.

Therapy

In the individual therapy directed at the ongoing discomfort and its resolution, it focuses on several levels; the person in his own individual dimension and the relationships that are part of his life in the different contexts to which he belongs and in which he acts.

Through the therapeutic relationship the useful elements are introduced to overcome the discomfort and trigger the change towards a more functional balance and oriented to a better quality of life.

EMDR therapy is an innovative therapeutic method endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and considered the best treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Currently its effectiveness has extended to the treatment of anxiety problems, phobias, addictions, panic attacks, depression. And also to treat self-esteem problems, fear of public speaking and to improve one's own work and personal performance.
